The office of Roz Savage, MP for South Cotswolds, attended an NHS engagement event on the future of Cirencester Hospital yesterday, and secured confirmation that residents without internet access can request a paper questionnaire by post.

Members of Roz’s constituency team attended the public engagement event at The Long Table in Cirencester on Tuesday 29 September, where they spoke with local residents and NHS officers about the future of the hospital.

During the event, Roz’s team raised the issue of accessibility and asked how residents who are not online can take part. NHS officers confirmed that anyone who would prefer a paper copy of the questionnaire can email to request one. It will be posted out with a self-addressed return envelope.

Attendance at the event was modest, and Roz is encouraging as many people as possible to respond so that the NHS hears from the full range of people who rely on the hospital, including older residents and those in rural villages who may not have seen the event advertised. There is another opportunity to speak with Cirencester Community Hospital, at a similar drop-in event in the same location on October 8th between 10am and 12am.

Roz has campaigned throughout her time in Parliament to protect services at Cirencester Hospital, including leading a petition against the closure of the daytime operating theatre and securing a Westminster Hall debate on the issue.

Roz Savage MP said:

“Cirencester Hospital matters enormously to people across the South Cotswolds, and decisions about its future should be shaped by the people who use it. I’m grateful to the residents who came along to share their views, and to the NHS officers who took the time to listen. I want to urge anyone who can make it to the October 8th date to make their way there.”
